I want you...
CAUTION, explicit lyrics! Like many of the songs I am currently posting, the origins are unknown. I have been collecting them over many years so if anyone can assist in identifying them or knows more about their history, please either post a comment or contact me so I can update the posts.
I want youis clearly an improvised song (listen to the amateurish drumming) and Harry seems to make up the lyrics as he goes along. Based around the same chords as 'Let the good times roll'/'Walk right back/Cathy's clown' it well be that this song was recorded during the Schmilsson sessions.
The first time I heard Harry was on the title theme from 'The Courtship of Eddie's Father'. I loved the song, loved the voice but didn't find out until the mid-seventies who Harry was. Since then I have been collecting his music hunting down the many hard to find vinyls. I never get get tired of listening to his superb songwriting, his amazing voice and his tongue-in-cheek humor.
If you find your way here, feel free to add a comment or if you have anything to share with Harry's friends contact me.
Enjoy and spread the word 'For the love of Harry'.
